Flexible Edit

After / Before

Water Fountain : Rexburg Nature Park 09.26.10 4:45. f/3. 1/200. Canon Powershot SD 790.

There weren't any huge changes made to this photo. I enhanced with saturation and added a hard light layer. I liked how the water moved through the air, it was so fluid. I wish I knew how to use the sparkle tool. I think that would have given the water a really cool effect. I will be sure to change it later once we learn it in class!

I adjusted all my photos this week. I really enjoyed implementing what Sis. Esplin taught last week about layers while working with the grasshopper photo. It's my favorite this week. I'm still figuring out the settings on my camera and where they are. I failed to remember my ISO settings while shooting so my photos are grainy. I will figure it out, I promise!

Week 2 - Blends & Type

I have had some trouble with uploading this photos. They uploaded in an odd order and I can't figure out how to delete the repeat of my blend with text. I will figure it out soon!

This first photo is my blend. I took a photo of an old wall in Rexburg and blended it with another photo of a stone walkway.

The blend with text photo is a blend with that same stone walkway and a photo I took of my leather purse. I wanted to show a comparison between hard and soft. I chose to use "Come together" for my text to portray that opposites can come together and work beautifully.

Week 2 - Color Study

I spent time in the Gardens over the weekend. It is filled with beautiful flowers that really caught my attention. My favorite color is orange so I found varying shades of that color. I am new with using the different functions on my camera so I need to get used to documenting the settings I used.

Week 1 - Past Photos

1. I took this photo of my friend Katie while swimming at Twin Bridges last summer using my point and shoot. I thought it was a really cool picture but it started to look even better after I started enhancing different parts of the photo. I changed the saturation and exposure using a Windows program.

2. When I was in England I found this old wall that had water dripping down the side. I thought it was so pretty and unique. I didn't change anything in this photo.

3. This photo was taken while I was in Wales. We were visiting a castle and I found this family crest as I was looking around. I thought the colors were great together and I loved the look of the iron bars. There were no changes made to this photo.

4. This photo was taken while I was on the British Literary Tour two summers ago. We were visiting the Lake District and I loved this small stream I found. I enhanced this photo using a Windows program, I changed the saturation to make the colors more vivid.

5. Also while I was in Europe we visited Paris. The Eiffel tower is so beautiful to me. This was taken at night, obviously. It was hard to take a good picture before knowing any settings on my camera. I was lucky to get a decent one. There were also no changes made to this photo.
